Choosing the right Driver Education program for your teen is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. Teen driving a motor vehicle is the leading cause of fatal injury among our nation's youth and potentially the most deadly activity a teenager will be involved in on a consistent basis. For this reason Teen Driving Academy has developed the premier Driver Education program and has become the choice of concerned parents. Out comprehensive program, offered at a reasonable price, emphasizes driver's responsibility and the attitudes that promote safe, defensive driving and hight quality driving training.

This intensive course prepares them for a lifetime of safe driving in two phases. Driver Education is the foundation and first phase which prepares them for the drivers test permit. The second phase is Driver Training during which the student will be driving under the supervision of our professional and competent Driving Instructors.

Our four day classroom Driver’s Education program will prepare the teen driver for the challenges of driving in southern California. Our classroom driver’s education has an unparalleled success reviewing those topics most fundamental to the safety of teens including the importance of driver attitudes, problem solving in traffic and effective driving habits of defensive drivers, risk management, vehicle control and a comprehensive program on drugs, including Alcohol, and driving. These and many more topics are presented through lectures and enhanced by audio/visuals and class discussions, guest speakers from various police agencies are invited from time to time and upon availability to enrich the learning environment. The following is a list of the most important topics included in out Driver education program and covered each day.

DAY ONE
The task and the privilege of driving along with a review of teenage driver’s risk factors and statistics; introduction to the driver’s license basics & the California provisional driver’s license program. Responsibilities and consequences in driving; parental community and law enforcement expectations- the integrity of the highway system and its importance to the California’s economy.

DAY TWO
Discussion of the vehicle code, rules of the road and related areas- vehicle modifications- driving under adverse conditions and limited visibility- a comprehensive discussion on speed and associated inertia and kinetic energy issues. DAY THREE
Essential attitudes instrumental in the safe operation of the motor vehicle- fundamentals of defensive driving and time/space management, vision and visibility. Application of concepts through development of winning driving habits- hazard perception and evasive maneuvers- problem solving & risk management in traffic.

DAY FOUR
Alcohol & other drugs and driving: This is an extensive discussion on the effects, laws and consequences. Understanding and avoiding road rage & cooperating with other highway users and sharing the road safely with other motorists including a complete discussion on negotiating with a variety of vehicles such as large trucks, motorcycles etc.-discussion on minimizing deadly distractions inside and outside the vehicle and importance of driver alertness.
